Hello people,
Good afternoon!
In this post today, I will share with you some promotional codes for taking the free SQL Server 2016 MCSA BETA certification exams. As Microsoft prepares to roll out certification exams, it makes some code available to IT professionals around the world so they can take this test and give their feedback on the questions.
Although they are BETA proofs, their results are computed and are valid for the certification process. As explained on this link, if you pass the beta test, you do not need to repeat the test when the final version comes out. If you do not pass the beta test, you will not be able to repeat the beta test again and you should wait for the final version to exit to repeat the exam.
Since the tests are still in the testing phase (BETA), you should be aware of the possibility of errors in the questions. Also, the exams are usually only available in English and instead of some randomly chosen questions, the exam contains all the questions, so the beta exam is usually larger than the final exam.
Another difference from the final version of the tests to the beta version is that in the final version, the result is generated as soon as you finish the test, while in the beta tests, the result is only released weeks later (when the final version of the test is available). ).
About the MCSA Title
The Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) title is awarded to IT professionals who pass the 2 proof of one of the 3 fronts of SQL Server:
MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Development
Certification focused on Developers and which is obtained by passing the two tests below:
- 70-761 - Querying Data with Transact-SQL: Exam Content
- 70-762 - Developing SQL Databases: Exam Content / Registration (Code: XIEWCD762UU)
MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration
Certification aimed at DBA's and obtained through the approval of the two tests below:
- 70-764 - Administering a SQL Database Infrastructure: Exam Content
- 70-765 - Provisioning SQL Databases: Exam Content / Registration (Code: QFNMSK765LL)
MCSA: SQL 2016 Business Intelligence Development
Certification for BI Analysts and obtained by passing the two tests below:
- 70-767 - Implementing a SQL Data Warehouse: Exam Content
- 70-768 - Developing SQL Data Models: Exam Content / Registration (Code: WXSQJY768AA)
For those who are already SQL Server 2012 / 2014 MCSA, you can take the 70-762 beta test to replace the first test in each area and then take only the second exam to upgrade your certification to SQL Server 2016:
Once you pass the 2 exams for an area, you earn the MCSA title for that area. You can take tests in one or all of the 3 areas if you wish.
Run! The vacancies are very limited and the test can only be done until 23 / 09!

Says Dirceu, haven't the MCSE and MCSA tests been discontinued?
Please could someone tell me when they will have another voucher again?
Thank you.
I await
Nicolas,
Good day.
More 2 beta tests came out. See more in my post http://www.dirceuresende.com/blog/provas-de-certificacao-mcsa-70-764-e-70-767-do-sql-server-2016-de-graca-beta-ate-31012017
Dirceu, congratulations! Very well explained. Do you have any 761 or 762 PTBR material?
Hi Samuel,
Thanks for the visit!
I don't have any material yet, but take a look at this link that may help you: https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/4644/sql-server-exam-70761-study-material-for-querying-data-with-transactsql/
Excellent initiative Dirceu, However I tried to schedule but I think it expired. I got the following message: “The discount is expired and can no longer be used.”. Is there any other alternative? Thank you very much in advance. Thank you.
Bruno, good morning. The beta of these tests has already expired, as I commented in the post. New beta tests are coming up and I'll post to the blog 🙂
Excellent Dirceu. I would like to ask which certifications do you have and which guides do you get or are you still up? I've been working in the field for 10 years, but I only have one SAP certification. Thank you in advance for your attention. Thank you!
Bruno, good night! This certification question will largely depend on your area of expertise or the area in which you would like to operate.
There is not much to choose from about certification beyond the area of expertise and technology. If you want to be SQL Server DBA, you have to take out the MCSA. If you want to be an Oracle DBA, you have to take the OCA. The same thing goes for C # development, Java, PHP, etc.
If you like the project area, PMP certification is a big differentiator. In the area of networking, there are some Cisco certifications that stand out.
And of course, there are some certifications that are important to any IT professional, such as the ITIL V3 Foundation, which is a set of best practices for IT service management.
In short: Identify which area of IT you want to operate in, and certify in that area. Usually certifications follow a sequence, so you don't have much to choose from.
Big hug and thanks for visiting!
Many thanks for the reply. do you have any certification? I have one from sap business one. but not as well recognized as sap r3 certifications.
Hello, I would like to know 2 things: first the code is still working to do the test for free? Second, if I take the exam and pass will I be certified normally?
Fabio, good afternoon. The code works, but you need to make sure the location where you are taking the exam is still available on day and time since today is 20 and you can only book the exam until 23. This you can check on the exam schedule screen.
Regarding certification, this beta test is equal to a normal test. If you pass it, you already earn the credits in the same way as the normal exam. To earn the MCSA title you will need to pass one of these 3 exams and then the 2a proof of your area of interest, as there are 2 exams per area for certification.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
