On 15 / 09, I had the pleasure of participating in the organization of 11th Meeting of PASS Local Group SQL Server ES and lecture on the theme “Power BI x Reporting Services: Who is better?”, with MVP Fabrício Lima, who presented the lecture “Step by step on how I tuned 7 real queries from a client”.
As always, the structure of the Catholic University Center of Victoria it was amazing, serving and accommodating us in a very comfortable and organized way.
|08:30 - 09:00||Event Opening|
|09:00 - 10:10||Power BI x Reporting Services: Who is better?||In this talk, I will introduce Power BI (Reporting Services) and Reporting Services tools and demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of each, helping you define which you should use in your business and which scenarios.||Dirceu Resende|
|10:10 - 10:20||Coffee Break and Networking|
|10:20 - 11:20||Step by Step How I Tuned in 7 Real Queries from a Client||In this talk I will show how I improved 7 real queries from a client in a Tuning consultancy. Let's discuss together the walkthrough that I followed and improve the query only with the creation of indexes, since it is a third party application and we cannot change the queries. This database had 800 GB of compressed data (more than 2 TB if it had no compression).||Fabrício Lima|
|11:20 - 11:30||Closing ceremony|

And had toast? HAD!!
I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend the event again. I hope it was profitable and a time investment, rather than a waste of time. Waking up early on Saturday after working / studying all week is really not easy. This only shows the interest in learning more and evolving professionally. Who wasn't, missed the coffe break, networking and our lectures.
